Summer has come and passed, the fall is here with new trends in make up!
Let’s start with eyes!
1. Purple is a top color for fall in makeup. It is seen in many collections and it looks really good on all skin types and tones. I am definitely going for it. Purple will most likely be called the top trend in makeup for Fall 2008/Winter 2009 season.
2. Smoky eyes look is here again stronger than ever before. It’s darker than last seasons. So black eyeliner is a must have for fall and winter 2008/2009. You can mix different colors in to match your outfit. I’m glad smoky eyes are so popular this fall, they have always looked good on every single girl I know!
3. Gold, bronze and yellow eye shadows will be in for this fall. They come in style every fall, probably trying to match the yellow leaves and leave before winter begins.
Trends in lips makeup!
4. Red lipstick is back along with rich berry lips. Some designers went for black lips, although I would stay away from this idea. Red and bright pink juicy lips are very popular in Fall 2008/Winter 2009 season.
5. Neutral lips and neutral makeup! This is not a new make up idea, but it is clear that this fall you have to wear your lips like this. You can use your foundation on top of lip gloss to reach this effect. Looks very girly and sweet!
Eyebrows! Don’t miss out!
6. Your makeup can’t be completed without this detail. Some girls don’t pay attention to the shape and condition of their eyebrows, but this is a major mistake! This season we will wear heavier eyebrows. Plucked thin eyebrows are out!
7. Girls at this show had a very bright makeup done. For God’s sake, don’t wear it to the office, I just thought it is a great Halloween idea )))

I love the smoky eye look, but I’d really love to find a simpler way to achieve it. I’d also like to know about color options for those of us who simply cannot wear yellows and golds. Is there something that will achieve the same fashionable look with a different undertone? I look hideous wearing any shadow with a yellow undertone.

I agree as my skin is fair , you should try something with more silver or a pearl essence.Laura mercier makes a eyeshadow called pearl. Its gold and silver and would look great on you! Ive been doing makeup for 10 years and have found it to be one of my favs!

Next year I will be headed off to college to become a makeup artist, and every time I see these sights, I know exactly why! I love experimenting with new trends. And I’m ssssssssoooooooooooo stoked that purple is back in! When I first started doing my makeup, I always used this colour, and it happens to be my favourite too! Thanks. xo

Maria, thicker eyebrows is just a trend that is very popular now. You can wear them thick or not, but please, don’t go for a very tiny thin line, like some teenagers do. It doesn’t look good on anybody!
Mike, I have a solution for ya. Find the picture of a girl with the light makeup you like or even with that special way your ex wife did her eyes (never tell your girl you want her to look like your ex, the consequences can be too dangerous). Show the picture to your girl (or just put it somewhere where she will 100% see it. When she asks you why did you save the pic you tell her that you like something about the girl, you are not sure what, maybe it is the makeup and how she did her eyes) Believe me, she will try it on herself, then you just need to say that she looks absolutely gorgeous and you like a style a lot) Really hope it helps=)
